Founder’s story

Hello everyone! Since I’ve now introduced the entire team, I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly.

I’m Gayathri (pronounced Guy-uh-three) and I’m the founder of The Pilates Club 🤯.

When I was shaping the vision for the studio, two values that drive me are strength and community. A space to bring people together, get active, and feel connected. 🫂🤗💪🏾

My background is in the NHS and public health , so you might be wondering how I ended up here. But really, it all ties back to one thing: caring about people. I wanted to be part of something that supports wellbeing, not just talks about it.

In public health, I was getting closer helping people improve their quality of life holistically. But in reality? I was isolated, working from home 9–5 behind a laptop, and as an extrovert, that slowly wore me down.

I discovered Pilates just over two years ago and honestly, I never looked back. I’ve just completed my teacher training in May with BASI and I’m currently building my teaching hours so I can officially qualify.

So whilst I’m not officially teaching yet, when the opportunity came up to open a space like this, I said yes.🎆🎇

Creating a space where Pilates feels personal, supportive, and community-focused is a dream come true. I’ve brought together a wonderful team who will genuinely look after you, whether you’re brand new or a seasoned pro. I’m just here to facilitate that, and honestly, even that feels like the biggest privilege. I never want anyone to feel depersonalized here- your journey is really important to us.

I can’t wait to watch you progress, feel stronger, and make friends along the way.

Because to me, life is about connection and feeling good - so why not do both, right here with us? 🩵

I can’t wait to meet you all and have you join us at The Pilates Club✨
